RegenSpa Boise Q&A

What treatments does RegenSpa Boise offer?

RegenSpa Boise currently offers several treatments to help you look and feel your best self.

Microneedling with PRP

Microneedling with PRP (platelet-rich plasma) is a minimally-invasive, all-natural skin rejuvenation procedure that can improve wrinkles, fine lines, uneven skin texture, sun damage, large pores, hyperpigmentation and acne scars. Microneedling involves using a medical device with several fine needles to create tiny channels or “micro injuries” in the skin’s top layer.

The “micro injuries” prompt the skin to regenerate damaged cells and increase the production of collagen and elastin to naturally heal itself. PRP, which contains highly concentrated amounts of natural growth factors, is produced from an individual’s own blood. After a blood sample is obtained, the blood is placed into a centrifuge, which separates the PRP from the blood. The PRP is then applied directly to the channels that were created from the microneedling to further stimulate the natural healing process and creation of new collagen.

Fibroblast PlasmaPen

Plasma fibroblast therapy targets fibroblasts. These are the collagen and protein-producing cells in the dermis, the layer of skin just below your outermost skin layer. Fibroblasts play an important role in helping skin wounds heal as well as maintaining skin firmness and tightness. Plasma fibroblast therapy uses a pen-like device that discharges a high-frequency electric current to small areas of the skin, leaving a dotty appearance that heals and flakes off between 3 to 7 days after treatment.

Results are comparable to a surgical facelift at a fraction of the risk to patient and much less cost. Most people see benefits from one treatment, while others may require three treatments before they see results.

Hair Loss Treatment

Hair loss may be inherited and/or can occur with high stressor events in one’s life (especially with women). There are concerns with long-term use of medications and there is a significant expense and possible scarring with hair transplants. TYpically treatments are performed 4-6 weeks apart to obtain maximum results.  Follow up treatments are also encouraged every 6-12 months for maintenance.

PCB offers a more natural way of restoring your hair by a combination of Platelet-Rich Plasma (PRP) and Laser Photo Therapy (LPT).

PRP will improve hair follicle function resulting in new hair growth, increased thickness of the hair shaft, improved blood flow to the follicles, increased epidermis thickness and less hair loss or shedding. Typically do 3 treatments 4-6 weeks apart and possible maintenance treatments every 6-12 months.

LPT uses low-level laser therapy (LLLT) or cold laser technology. LLLT has been shown to stimulate the cell's mitochondria to produce ATP, the primary energy of human cells. There is also a release of nitric oxide, which increases microcirculation, reduces inflammation, increasing the healing process.

This will shift the hair follicles into the growing phase and produce stronger follicles. The LPT treatments will be done in the comfort of your own home, utilizing the Theradome Professional Laser Hair Helmet. This helmet is cordless, hands-free, mobile and provides full scalp coverage. This requires only 20-minute sessions, 2 times per week.
